Given the socket options these boots are arguable over the Vindicator's depending on what you plan to do.This list isn't meant to be looked at as a full tanking set but rather as individual gear Prot Paladins should be looking to obtain throughout P2.ĭoes this look about right for Prot Paladins? I'd love to hear input from other Prot Warriors and casters! There still is warrior DPS gear in Kara, although not as much as tanks to be sure.but realize they get ZERO from PVP where DPS can get Gladiator'd out in no time at all.hell, no tank in their right mind would even take the PVP shield. warriors get little or no viable rewards through the PVP system and aside from Alterac Valley, they are basically worthless (we've all heard the cries for tanks for Drek, Galv, Balinda, Van, etc.-no on in WSG hollas for that same tank). Having Respec'd MS-Warrior, GREAT DPS gear can be gotten quite easily through the epic-welfare system. (the only exception being Prince where one good tank, good heals and a boatload of ranged DPS gets him dead nearly always on the first try). No one does Kara without a solid tank.preferably two. The drops are most welcome not only to tanks but to the guild as a whole. because the choice is there for mail, cloth and leather wearers of any class/spec combo to pvp or not - it's only plate wearers that get the shaft.Ĭomment by ThottbotI tank'd from 61 to 70 including Kara. IMO, the devs need to introduce a little more dps plate into heroics and kara for the warriors (and sadly rets too) that dont want to tank and dont want to have to PvP to gear up for the higher content. Problem is, that Blizz in their 'infinite wisdom' gave warriors TWO trees for damage and ONE for defense, yet nearly completely neglect the dps choices as far as plate gear drops. there, the AI *can* be tricked into thinking they are some sort of 'threat', and so therefore different gear is not only acceptable but expected. they'd want to gear pretty much the same as any dps version of the class to be of any use to the team, therefore the armor provided IS for them too. gear designed for defense over damage is just plain stupid. maybe they just die a little slower, but end result is still a bloody puddle. so you hack off the soft squishies around them, and then they have no chance of taking down any one of their opponents and become easy prey regardless of the armor or mitigation. problem is, that unlike AI mobs, players can't be taunted or tricked into thinking they're actually some sort of 'threat'. Prot warriors are more than welcome to PvP. Hope dps warriors get better loot from next 10 man instance.Ĭomment by ThottbotGonna have to agree with Moyder on that. The only really good epic plate dps items that i know of that is bind on pickup besides t4 is: boots from nightbane and leggings from mechanaar heroic. To get some "easy" items besides karazhan, get Doomplate shoulders, chest and or gloves, vanquisher legplates, belt from sethek halls 1st boss normal mode, cloak from the 2nd boss shadow labs, neck from the black stalker (doomplate shoulders also drops from him)īuy yourself epic bracers and gauntlets from crafters.īuy weapons from crafters is the easiest way to obtain ok weaponry quick. The problem is, you rarely get to choose first from the dps ring, necklace, cloack(s) and weapons amongs the other dps classes that is raiding with you. Tbh, if you are trying to keep up with fully Karazhan epic geared dps classes (mage, lock, hunter, rogue) on the damage meter, then you have to craft the engineer dps goggles, get blacksmith weapon profession and pvp armour. Also note for the sake of simplicity I haven't taken into account the Precision talent.Ĭomment by ThottbotThat is for dps warriors. 60 badges is a small price for such a nice upgrade and should be considered. The reason I'm bringing this up is that these Ironstriders of Urgency are now outdated and comparatively more difficult to obtain than alternatives. For arms warriors, any hit rating over 142 is wasted. For fury, a hit rating greater than 142 is not essential but still provides a DPS benefit. For arms, Skullshatter Warboots or Warboots of Obliteration would be wiser choices if you are at or above 142 hit rating.Nyn'jah's Tabi Boots, despite being leather, are a direct upgrade between Ironstriders of Urgency and Dreadboots of the Legion for fury warriors. They are comparable to Skullshatter Warboots mentioned above, and easy to obtain.Įdit: Sigh, I'm sick of real information being rated down while misinformation is rampant on the site. Comment by 63711If you're fury or otherwise lacking hit, look to Nyn'jah's Tabi Boots.
